Bukit Lawang has more to offer than just jungle trekking
Stay some days longer in Bukit Lawang and enjoy the traditional indonesian local life. Refresh yourself by swimming in the Bohorok or Landak river. See farmers working on their fields and learn more about the farmers product – like the traditional brown sugar and tofu. See the various plantations of coconut and cacao. Get in touch with the locals!
Any of our activities are flexible in the schedule and can be customized to your needs
It is possible to explore Bukit Lawang by motorbike, becak (traditional tuk-tuk), taking a walk or renting a bicycle.
On the Rocks invites their guests aswell to visit our own rice fields and fruit plantation. Over 3 years ago we bought land in the countryside and we destroyed the palmoil plantation that was there and started to plant various fruit trees and rice to assist in our sustainability for our restaraunt at On The Rocks.
