1 day tour

The Elephant Sanctuary is a around 2,5 hours drive from Bukit Lawang. We can organise the transport to Tangkahan.

This will costs 750.000 IDR incl. return and exclude ticket charge for the activities in Tangkahan.

On the Rocks is just ‘a middle man’ for this activity. We take care for the booking, but are not responsable for the activity itself.

The amount has to be paid upfront to On the Rocks. The tour can be cancelled 3 days before, afterwards the Tangkahan office will charge the full amount.

Tangkahan is a small village on the border to the Gunung Leuser National Park.

There are 7  trained elephants which are available for rides in the jungle though their primary role is to patrol and protect the National Park from illegal activities like animals paoching and illegal logging.
