THE ROCKS is work together with experienced drivers. We can arrange pick up from any destination in North Sumatra.
Please note, that the road from Medan to Bukit Lawang is quite bumpy. To have a comfortable arrival, we are using mini vans with aircon. The mini vans are in good condition and get checked regularly. Mini vans are for max. 5 persons (including bagage). We also can organise mini busses or even large busses for bigger groups.
To have an flowing journey, we suggest to book an pick up with us. At the parking in Bukit Lawang, one of our team member will welcome you and help to carry your luggage (or to organise more local porters – 1 large bag = 50.000 idr).
If you will arrive by public bus or tourist bus:
Please inform us about your approx. arrival time. Our team member will wait for you at the parking/bus station to escort you to On the Rocks. This might be quite helpful, as many “hunters” will be at the entrance of Bukit Lawang
